1. U Bistrot, St Julians

Set in the corner of the bustling Balluta Bay, Ubistrot, is our favorite brunch spot on the island. Not just for their exquisite food, but also for their cozy and warm atmosphere. The bistro's interior is decorated in a chic rustic design, but when the sun is shining, we recommend sitting outside and trying their scrumptious breakfast menu.

2. Emma’s Kitchen, San Gwann

Fresh healthy food, awesome young staff and a kick-ass central location, Emma's Kitchen is an ideal brunch spot to chill with friends and win the morning. The breakfast boards are perfect for sharing, the bottomless brunch will get you tipsy, and their toasties hit the spot. If you haven't been to Emma's Kitchen, you're simply missing out.

3. 67 Kapitali, Valletta

If you find yourself exploring the capital city, you might fancy a break at 67 Kapitali. The artisan cafe is a local favourite in one of Valletta's busiest corners. We like to head over to 67 Kapitali to pair their wide range of local craft beer with their delicious toasted sandwiches. There is no better combination out there.

4. Two Buoys, St Julian’s

A must try brunch experience that's inspired by a Maltese family's early life in Melbourne, Australia. They have a fabulous selection on their brunch menu, but expect an Aussie twist. Perched on a terrace overlooking Spinola Bay, Two Buoys is a friendly choice to spend the morning with friends.

5. JAVA, Naxxar

A hip and cozy cafe right on the busy Pjazza Vittorja, JAVA is well worth a visit for brunch. They've set the standard with their wide range of healthy and delicious breakfast options. On a sunny day, we recommend sitting outside. You'll experience the village core vibes, and have the opportunity to try their scrumptious bagels and smoothie bowls.

6. Black Cat Café, Victoria (Gozo)

Gozo also offers a great selection of spots for brunch enthusiasts. Our favourite is Black Cat Café, a little gem tucked off the main tourist path in Victoria. They specialise in homemade cakes and pastries, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
