Alexandra Alden has just released her second full length album, Leads to Love. She's celebrating by throwing an intimate concert at Ivy House on Saturday 13th November. She's invited local wizards Michael Azzopardi and Joon to come along and play a set either side of hers. Tickets are selling fast at just €15 which also includes a welcome drink. For the first time in Malta, over the weekend of Friday 19th and Sunday 21st November, the Orpheum Theatre will be transformed into a haunted theatre attraction. 7 rooms filled with terror and spooky shows will give you a unique adrenaline rush and the feeling that you are a main character in a horror movie. Having recently opened their new home in Rabat, Coffee Circus Smile have been busy creating an awesome event culture. This time around, they have teamed up with their old friends, the Clueless Comedy Collective, for an evening of first-class entertainment. Wine and Jazz are arguably one of the best combinations out there. Ivy House have teamed up with a stellar line up of jazz musicians, and wine vendors to create this intimate evening. You'll get to enjoy a unique display of wine stalls from the best European wine regions, with soulful jazz playing throughout. The Mediterranean Culinary are inviting couples to their pod on Friday 19th November. Couples will be cooking together to create a luxurious and romantic dinner under the supervision of MCA's chef instructors. Couples will learn how to make the silkiest handmade pasta stuffed with lamb filling, served with a local vegetable ragu, and topped with roasted pistachios. As a dessert, each couple will create a luxurious White chocolate and Chestnut Mousse as well as a Whiskey Snap with the guidance of the chef instructors.
Towards the end, each couple will get to sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labour along with a paired wine to go along with each dish the couples have prepared.

If you are into investments and startups or you're a student or professional looking to network, you ought to head down to Storeroom on Thursday 11th November for Investment Hub's second meet up. There is no agenda during these meetups, just a great way for like-minded people to discuss interesting topics, make new acquaintances and enjoy a drink or two. The event is free and starts at 7.30pm.
Having entered the local music scene in 2012, Brodu helped kick-start a resurgence of Maltese language songs. Nowadays, the band boasts a discography made up of two albums as well as a couple of singles. They will be playing live at Hole in the Wall on Sunday 21st November from 7.30pm. The Malta Mind Sports Association is a voluntary organization that introduces mind games to different generations. They are organizing the first mind games festival between 19th and 28th November. There are 7 games to choose across two categories. Backgammon, bridge, chess, draughts and sudoku are part of category 1, while connect 4 and mastermind form part of category 2. Each participant can choose up to 4 games to play, three from category 1 and one from category 2. Points are then accumulated for each game to eventually determine the Malta Mind Sports Champion.
