For some reason, she can't seem to stay put in one place for too long. This could be due to extremely bad luck, or due to the fact that fate chooses to push her in and out of moments of comfort and subsequently- discomfort. It's in the midst of transitions that Alden's songs come to life, signalling the end of a chapter and the start of a new one. Leads to Love is the second full length album by Alexandra Alden. It is a collection of songs that meditate on her past, present and an imagined future. It is a reflection of the inner world in between worlds which Alden balances her life upon- with nearly every song written in a different house or country. It's an album about decisions and the weight which some might hold- how each small action may have a larger effect later on. In chaos theory, that is known as 'the Butterfly Effect'. In the case of 'Leads to Love', Alden's 'butterfly' takes shape in the form of a 'ladybird' that she finds in her nearly-empty apartment at the age of 19, which brought colour to the dull, white-washed walls.
